Oil analysis for marine applications

The marine industry employs machine condition monitoring based on oil analysis as a routine preventative maintenance practice. An effective oil analysis program serves to keep important assets - such as engines, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, turbines, compressors generators, etc. - operational by reducing unexpected failures and unscheduled down time.

Bunker fuel analysis is also a critical application served by multi-element oil analysis instrumentation. Contamination levels of liquid fuel entering gas turbine or diesel engines must be extremely low to avoid corrosion and fuel system fouling.
